Main Purpose of the Job Rotational role to provide high quality patient care across a range of specialities, including the provision and development of independent prescribing services in admissions and discharge settings.


Bank Pharmacist - Band 6/7 (Dependent on Experience)

Are you an ambitious, motivated pharmacist, striving to continuously improve patient care and experience, this position is for you!

We have an exciting opportunity to join our established team of pharmacists via our bank, and will contribute to the ongoing operational provision of the pharmacy service, as per department rotas, to meet the needs of the service - evenings, weekends, bank holidays and out of hours (Emergency Commitment Duty) as well as providing clinical support to the dispensary staff as part of the pharmacist dispensary rota.

The post holder will provide a clinical pharmacy service to wards including information and advice on the safe, effective and economical use of drugs to health professionals and patients. You may also be asked to support clinical ward cover on a rotational basis in the following areas: surgery, cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology, elderly care and acute admissions, BSW ICS, AWP

You will also assess patients pharmaceutical care needs and plan to meet these needs 3. Optimise medicines management by taking drug histories (Medicines Reconciliation), performing medication reviews and utilising patients own medication.
