CRIMINAL JUSTICE MENTAL HEALTH NHS SOCIAL WORK
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two enthusiastic Peer Mentors for the Enhanced RECONNECT service, part of a national pilot initiative. This role targets individuals with lived experience of the Criminal Justice system who will support service users identified as high risk for reoffending and facing complex health needs. The Enhanced RECONNECT service aims to facilitate the reintegration of individuals leaving prison by addressing their health and support requirements through a trauma-informed, person-centered approach.

The Peer Mentors will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing their own experiences to motivate and guide service users in accessing community services and improving their overall wellbeing. Successful candidates should have recent experience within the Criminal Justice system, have achieved personal stability in their lives, and be prepared to share their journeys to inspire others in similar situations.
