The role of Mental Health Nurse in the Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Service at Bridgwater's Somerset NHS Foundation Trust involves providing specialized nursing care for individuals with mental disorders who have exhibited offending behavior or pose risks to others. The position is situated in Ash Ward, a low secure environment that emphasises safety, rehabilitation, and community reintegration. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the nurse will lead a team during shifts, conduct risk assessments, and develop treatment plans while ensuring comprehensive care for patients.

The job entails working rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and personal development supported through training opportunities.
