The Senior Research Nurse at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust will serve as a clinical expert responsible for managing and facilitating Respiratory and Infection Research studies within the Respiratory Biomedical Research Centre. The role involves ensuring adherence to ICH-GCP and Research Governance guidelines, providing clinical leadership, and supporting research staff to enhance standards of care and research delivery. Collaboration with Principal Investigators and various stakeholders is crucial for leading high-quality research, recruiting patients for clinical trials, coordinating data collection, and ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

In addition, the Senior Research Nurse will contribute to data analysis, report preparation, and the dissemination of findings, while also playing a key role in staff recruitment, training, and development. This position requires advanced specialist knowledge, the promotion of lifelong learning, and the facilitation of patient and public involvement in research initiatives. The role emphasises quality assurance, professional development, and a commitment to ethical research practices within the clinical setting.
