The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 4 Nursing Associate for the busy Toghill ward, which specializes in both malignant and non-malignant clinical haematology patients. The role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include supporting registered nurses, providing and monitoring care for patients, contributing to a learning environment, and maintaining professional competence. The position also involves adhering to Trust policies regarding medication and patient safety, as well as effective communication within the multidisciplinary team. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our innovative and dynamic team as a band 4 nursing associate on Toghill ward. We are a busy, fast-paced ward caring for malignant and non-malignant patients under the clinical haematology speciality. The ward is based within a regional clinical haematology unit at Nottingham City Hospital and our staff are committed to providing high quality patient care to our patients based on the latest research and innovations. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our well established team.

Provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients/clients during a care episode.

You should be aware of your role with regard to the Medicines Code of Practice, complying with all Trust policies and risk assessments with particular regard to the policies and procedures maintaining staff and patient safety.

Communication with the multidisciplinary team is essential in order to promote efficient patient care and maintain effective channels of communication. You should report all accidents and untoward incidents to the nurse in charge and complete an incident form in accordance with Trust policy.

The post holder will promote a team nursing philosophy of care.
