Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year Pro Rata Per Annum  PERMANENT 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join Urgent & Emergency Care at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital Trust, primarily based at Bassetlaw.

This is an exciting, responsible and demanding role that supports the Division Senior Management Team (Divisional Director, Divisional Director of Operations, Operational Manager) in the efficient and effective operational management of services delivering high quality patient care.

You will be skilled at delivering operational excellence, whilst constantly looking for opportunity to redesign services in partnership.

  • Highly visible individual; key in ensuring standards of care for all patients and the safe effective and efficient utilisation of resources.
  • Act as the principle source of managerial guidance and support for the Acute Service Coordinator / Clinical Staffing Team Leader and teams and ensure that Division and corporate objectives are achieved
  • To support Patient System users and raise awareness of the importance of ensuring that data is recorded accurately to all staff groups including admin, clinical & nursing staff.
  • Responsible for communicating directly with the Operational Manager (OM) and General Manager (GM) in regards to all day to day performance matters.
  • Responsible for the operational delivery aspects of delegated service areas.
  • Investigate and problem solve poor areas of data quality, pathway issues, performance issues and run regular error reports. Pass the findings to relevant managers and supervisors and if necessary advise of any changes to policies and procedures to correct the problems.
  • Support the OM with the operational delivery aspects of the Care Quality Standards and pathways.
