Job Summary: Research Business Manager at Barts Health NHS Trust, London
Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Research Business Manager to oversee the post-award R&D Finance Team. This role involves managing a team of Accounts Managers, ensuring the effective operation of research financial administration, and providing exemplary service to the research community, including collaboration with Queen Mary University of London and other organizations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leadership and staff management within the R&D Finance Team.
  • Daily oversight of R&D operations and resolution of operational issues.
  • Management of financial functions with an annual income of £30 million, ensuring compliance with Trust policies.
  • Maintenance and presentation of the risk register for finance and business development.
  • Providing secretariat support for R&D Finance working groups and boards.
  • Overseeing recruitment procedures aligned with policies for equality and inclusion.
  • Ensuring proper onboarding for new finance staff and maintaining consistency in training.
The role is integral to the senior leadership team in R&D, requiring strong management skills and a commitment to operational excellence. Flexible working options are available. Interviews are scheduled for December 18th and 20th, 2024.
