To use excellent communication skills to communicate and develop relationships with a range of people on a variety of matters. Contact with patients, members of the public, service users and carers will also be required at times
Present results of IP surveillance and audits at CMG meetings both virtually and in person via written reports or presentations
Able to manage time effectively across the three hospital sites to ensure data collection is robust
Able to organise diary commitments to ensure attendance at key meetings within the CMG where IP is a focus

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Infection Prevention Team for an Infection Prevention Audit and Surveillance Assistant.
This will be an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience working within a healthcare setting, and will develop particular skills and knowledge in relation to healthcare associated infections and improving patient safety and outcomes of care.
The post holder will be a member of the MSK & MSS CMG working alongside the INfection Prevention Team and other key professionals.
Please ensure that you are able to provide the correct qualifications as per the person specification as you will be required to provide these at ID check.
The surveillance role will involve collection and input of specific data from a variety of sources including case notes, computer systems and direct patient contact. The data will be used to promote safe, cost effective care.
They will work under the direction of the MSK/MSS Clinical Management Group and in collaboration with the Infection Prevention though most of the work will be carried out without direct supervision. Training and support will be given for the specific role requirements. The post-holders will work across the 3 hospitals sites within the Trust.
No previous Infection Prevention experience is required as we are looking for keen, motivated individuals, with a desire to improve patient outcomes and service delivery towards Infection Prevention by taking part in this work.
The role will include supporting the CMG's wider Infection Prevention work as part of the Operation Group meetings.
