The Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner will join the CAMHS Team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to support early identification and brief interventions aimed at promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience among primary school-aged children. The role involves working closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist for school liaison to implement educational programs and provide tailored group and individual interventions for children experiencing low-level mental health issues, such as anxiety and low mood.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialist, the practitioner will design and deliver evidence-based early intervention activities, mainly for children aged 4 to 11. Responsibilities also include providing one-on-one psychoeducation, delivering training to relevant staff, and contributing to the development of strategies for schools to support children’s emotional health. Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not mandatory.
