University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is offering a fixed-term Band 6 Senior Theatre Practitioner position at St Michael's Hospital, available for 12 months starting from November 2024. This role is ideal for an experienced Band 5 professional seeking career advancement or a current Band 6 looking for a new opportunity. The theatre unit operates around the clock, supporting various specialties, including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT, and Upper GI, with robotic surgery set to begin in April 2025.

The Senior Theatre Practitioner will provide expert nursing care while managing a nursing team, promoting high patient care standards in line with professional guidelines. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, supporting the sister/charge nurse in departmental management, and engaging in clinical governance and auditing activities. The role emphasises a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure optimal patient care throughout the perioperative journey.
