CASELOAD EATING DISORDER FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS ON-CALL
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders to join their multi-disciplinary team in Cambridge. This role involves providing medical leadership and delivering evidence-based assessments and treatments for children and young people referred to the Eating Disorder Pathway, with a caseload of 20-30 patients and the expectation to assess approximately 40 new cases annually. The successful candidate will aid in the development of innovative care models as part of the upcoming Cambridge Children's Hospital initiative, which aims to integrate mental and physical health services.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the post-holder will engage in training and education, supervising trainees and providing essential teaching to various healthcare professionals. Participation in governance processes, audits, and multi-disciplinary collaboration is also crucial, alongside contributing to the consultant on-call rota. The role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of child mental health services and contribute to a transformative approach to healthcare in the region.
