To undertake the appraisal of clinical supervisors
Line Management of Clinical Supervisors within the DEF in support of Director of Clinical Dentistry
To provide support to the Director of Clinical Dentistry in representing the Dental Education Facility at the 6 weekly Dental Clinical Quality and Supervisors Meeting
Foster close and harmonious working relationships with Peninsula Dental School and its staff
Lead for Patient safety in the Dental Education Facility
Ensure active attendance at the clinical leads group and to contribute to its workflow
Provide first line management to Clinical Supervisors including support, mentoring, performance and absence management
Support recruitment process of new Clinical Supervisors including induction
To provide any further duties as may be required where appropriate to the role as directed by Director of Clinical Dentistry, Chief Executive Officer of PDSE/PDSE Executive Group
Provide Direct patient care if no student clinics running
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join our team based in Exeter. This role will be for 3-5 days per week, working 38 weeks per year.
The post holder will provide Clinical Leadership in the Dental Education Facility for all clinical services and activities, ensuring outstanding clinical education and patient care is provided by the Dental Students. This will include involvement in student supervision clinics, providing support and guidance as required. The post holder will be the lead clinical decision maker for clinical supervisors in the Dental Education Facility.
