The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit two Clinical Assistants to support the surgical team in Brighton. These Clinical Assistants will work closely with Junior Doctors during ward rounds and assist with various administrative tasks, playing a crucial role in patient care under medical supervision. Responsibilities include gaining competence in skills like cannulation, phlebotomy, and ECGs; managing patient lists; coordinating ward rounds; and ensuring documentation is accurately maintained. The role requires effective communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, along with a commitment to patient care and maintaining confidentiality.

The Clinical Assistants will participate in a rota that provides support seven days a week, including bank holidays, and will have opportunities for personal and professional development. While there are no direct people management responsibilities, the role includes mentoring new team members and assisting with training.
