The York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) is seeking a permanent Building Services Supervisor - Water in York, responsible for managing the Trust's complex water systems and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. This role involves acting as the Deputy Responsible Person for maintenance and the operational implementation of safety policies regarding water systems, particularly in preventing bacteria like Legionella and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. Candidates should possess strong knowledge in water system compliance, be self-motivated, and committed to patient care while promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the NHS.

In addition to overseeing the functional testing of critical water systems, the supervisor will perform detailed analysis of test reports, consult with external organisations, and assist in the development of YTHFM and Trust Policies. The position requires effective communication and negotiation skills, as the post holder will liaise with external bodies on projects.
