The role of "Macmillan Clinical / Counselling Psychologist (Cancer & Palliative Care)" at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust in Uxbridge is a part-time position (0.6 WTE) focusing on providing specialized psychological support to cancer and palliative care patients and their families. This position is integral to a multi-professional Psycho-oncology team, working primarily within the clinical settings of Hillingdon Hospital and occasionally in the community.

Key responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing various psychological interventions, and providing consultation and guidance to other healthcare professionals. The role also involves ensuring culturally appropriate care, effective communication of assessment outcomes, and monitoring patient progress. The psychologist will participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contribute to service evaluations and improvements, and provide supervision as needed.
