Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year Pro-Rata (15 hours per week)  PERMANENT 
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience in a busy office environment and have standard computer skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Safeguarding, Cared for Children and Learning Disability Administrative team. We are looking to recruit a capable, helpful and enthusiastic administrator who will be a key player in providing administration support to the staff within the team. The role will be:

Managing own workload, required to act independently deciding when it is necessary to refer to their manager.

Liaise with staff, multi-agency/ external agency representatives, patient/ carer groups, in receiving or delivering information, meeting invitations, meeting minutes.

Processes a variety of data and administration sources including excel data bases, other Trust IT systems, Microsoft packages, disseminating and storing a variety of communications in varying formats.

Prepare formal agendas and minutes and timetables for papers for a number of internal meetings and external where required.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience in a busy office environment and have standard computer skills. Excellent organisational skills and effective written and oral communication skills are required with the ability to organise workload and prioritise competing demands.

Key requirements:

  • Knowledge of electronic mail.
  • Possession of RSA/ NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent level of qualification or relevant proven experience.
  • Advanced keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality / security, be flexible and adaptable.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative and positive approach to career and personal development.

The post is based at The Childrens Centre Durham Road Thursday and Friday between 8:30am-5:00pm.

These posts are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

  • Complete relevant documentation in a contemporaneously manner.
