The Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) role with the Devon Partnership NHS Trust in Totnes presents an excellent opportunity to enhance mental health services within the South Hams Core Adult Community Mental Health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting specialized psychological assessments, contributing to tailored clinical formulations, delivering evidence-based interventions, and participating in research activities as appropriate to their training level. Working autonomously on a daily basis under the supervision of a registered Practitioner Psychologist, the CAP will ensure that all clinical work adheres to the relevant standards and codes of practice, while maintaining professional communication and rapport with clients, families, and other professionals in potentially distressing situations.

In this position, the CAP will utilize their analytical skills to formulate comprehensive psychological evaluations and make independent clinical decisions. They will plan and prioritize their workload, including individual and group interventions, while contributing to the development of care plans and providing emotional support to clients. The role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and necessitates a person-focused, evidence-based approach to mental health care delivery across varied settings, including clients' homes.
