An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Rehabilitation Health Care Support Worker which will specialise in Acute Stroke and Stroke Rehabilitation.

The Stroke Unit at Prince Philip Hospital provides emergency stroke services to a diverse local community and expert clinical services for stroke patients. The service is continually expanding and developing offering new and exciting career options.
The ward consists of 29 beds - which 5 beds are utilised as Acute Stroke beds and the remaining 24 beds are utilised for rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop new knowledge and skills, working closely along side Nurses, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. The role does involve working as part of a team but has an aspect of it that requires the ability to work autonomously, when indicated.
Rehabilitation experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. However recent experience of working within a relevant health or social care sector service is essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
