We have a fixed term, 28 hours per week, Band 6 Bladder and Bowel Specialist Nurse post in the Bladder & Bowel Team, in Integrated Services based at Clementhorpe Health Centre, York.
You will have or be keen to develop Specialist Continence nursing skills and experience to clinically assess, plan and monitor interventions with patients with complex bladder and bowel needs either in clinic settings or home visits.

We are looking for somebody who is a broad thinker, confident to drive change and implement evidence based initiatives. We are actively looking at prevention and reduction of continence product use, including sustainability and impact on environment.
You will support the team leader and cover in their absence, hold good leadership qualities and able to make decisions.
You will be responsible for delivery and overseeing a rolling programme of training and education for all Community, Acute, Inpatient Units and Care Homes staff. We also work collaboratively with Clinical Educators and other stakeholders.
You will be working with an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate team to make service improvements and improve patient outcomes.
The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day is required for this vacancy. Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence (role will involve travel to numerous addresses that cannot be easily accessed by public transport means) is required.
