The Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated clinician to join their Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), operational seven days a week. The role involves providing clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients, including walk-ins and referrals from services like NHS 111. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Senior Nurses, and will be responsible for triaging patients, initiating treatments, and ensuring proper referrals or discharges. A critical aspect of the position includes maintaining high clinical standards, participating in audits and service evaluations, and empowering patients to access and utilize the service effectively.

Candidates should be experienced General Practitioners with backgrounds in urgent care or walk-in centres. Responsibilities include accurate documentation of clinical interactions, adherence to performance metrics, and a commitment to safeguarding vulnerable populations. The successful applicant will also need to undergo an enhanced DBS check and join the DBS update service as a condition of employment. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the integrated delivery of patient care within the local health system.
