This is a temporary Chef role at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK with over 224 homes and hospitals. The role involves working with fresh seasonal food to create nutritious and well-balanced menus for the residents, while maintaining high standards of hospitality. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a warm and welcoming environment, with a focus on work-life balance.

The Chef will assist the Head Chef in creating menus and delivering high-quality dishes, while also managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. They will work within a budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control. The role requires a personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the residents. The successful candidate will have experience in working with fresh seasonal food and a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP.

NEED TO HAVE

A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent Experience in helping lead and inspire a team A good understanding of nutrition Experience of working with fresh seasonal food The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home Good understanding of HACCP
