Do you want to be part of an exciting and innovative service that supports children and young people with acute mental health problems in their homes? If so then a role in the Closer2Home service may be the job for you.
Closer2Home provide intensive input and support using a bespoke package of care tailored to each young person's needs. The team is already multi-professional with nurses and social workers, plus consultancy and supervision from psychologists, however it is missing the unique skills of an occupational therapist.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and shape the role within the service, demonstrating the added value of occupational therapy for the young people and their families. They will contribute to assessments, plan and deliver interventions including supervising support workers, and offer an occupational perspective to formulations.
Please see the job description for more details.
There are many benefits to joining our closer2home team. Here is what our fellow team members had to say
"I love seeing first-hand the improved outcomes for the young people we work with that we have directly impacted; it is an amazing feeling. The job is flexible which is great for a good work/life balance, and all shift work is done on a fair rota."
"No 2 days are the same, which makes for an exciting and varied role. I also get work among a supportive and experienced team."
We are also proud of our young people's feedback
"I can't put into words how much you all have helped me. I will forever be grateful for everything you guys have helped me achieve as I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all of you. Your service is genuinely life changing and has been such a big part of my journey."
This is a valuable opportunity for a skilled passionate clinician to develop their career and make a powerful impact on the lives of young people and families when they need it most. Hospital admission can be lifesaving, however, young people often achieve better outcomes when they remain at home. Closer2Home provides a service that helps young people in crisis to remain in their own home and in their own community, where they have a better opportunity to engage in their usual occupations. You can make a positive difference.
