The University Hospital of North Midlands is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist (AFC Band 6) to join the Infection Science Department, specializing in bacteriology at the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent. This permanent position requires a HCPC registered professional who excels in teamwork, communication, and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be involved in a collaborative pathology network and will provide essential diagnostic and clinical services to acute hospitals, local clinics, and community health providers. The role entails working with advanced laboratory equipment and requires significant experience in bacteriology, preferably within an NHS setting, with a commitment to working 37.5 hours per week in a 24/7 service environment.
