The role of Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for the Specialist Hyper Acute Rehabilitation Pathway (SHARP) at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust involves providing expert nursing management for patients with complex hyper acute and acute rehabilitation needs within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The successful candidate will work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist clinical assessments, treatments, and management while ensuring adherence to safe and effective clinical practices.

Additionally, this position entails the development and delivery of educational training for healthcare staff, patients, and caregivers, contributing to specialty key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring high-quality care based on the latest evidence and professional standards. Responsibilities include administering and managing medications, providing comprehensive and person-centered care throughout the patient's journey, and advocating for patients' needs while fostering informed decision-making.
