The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Ward Clerk for the paediatric day unit at Royal Victoria Infirmary. This part-time position requires 15 hours of work over 2 days a week, with interviews scheduled for November 25, 2024. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, accurately inputting data for admissions, transfers, and discharges, booking appointments, and supporting the nursing and bed management teams. Basic IT skills are necessary, with previous experience in a ward clerk role being preferred. Training will be provided on specific systems used in the unit. The position contributes to high standards of patient care and adherence to departmental and legislative guidelines. Successful candidates will need to pay for their DBS certificate via salary deduction. The Trust supports flexible working arrangements where possible.
