The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Research Fellow in Urogynaecology to join their accredited Urogynaecology unit in Derby. The role involves undertaking clinical sessions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, participating in on-call duties, and engaging in research with a focus on Urogynaecology projects, including studies on outcomes related to Obstetrics Anal Sphincter Injuries, Laparoscopic Colposuspension, and rectocele repair. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team led by experienced consultants and will have access to a purpose-built Education Centre to facilitate ongoing education and training.

Candidates must hold an MRCOG qualification and possess relevant experience at Specialty Registrar Year 3 or above. While the initial contract is for one year, there is potential for extension based on performance and departmental needs, with opportunities to formalize research efforts for a higher degree (MD/PhD) and to contribute to publications in the field. Candidates are expected to have a Personal Development Plan and a Log Book documenting their professional development.
