The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dedicated and experienced Consultant Applied Psychologist (Clinical/Counselling) to join its Deaf Mental Health Service at the National Centre for Mental Health in Birmingham. This role entails providing specialized psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions to Deaf service users in both in-patient and out-patient settings. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, offering supervision, consultation, and clinical leadership while ensuring high-quality psychological care and governance.

In addition to direct clinical responsibilities, the role includes promoting professional development and training opportunities within the psychology services, as well as engaging in research and policy development initiatives. The position emphasises autonomy within professional guidelines and calls for a commitment to the systematic governance of practice, including the management of psychological support systems for team members.
