The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Trusts Trust's strategic approach to workforce and education ensuring close alignment to the NHS People Plan and People Promise that puts staff wellbeing, experience and engagement at the heart of everything we do. As a strategic leader, you will collaborate with other executives and senior leaders to shape the future direction of MWL continually looking for innovative ways to enhance and improve our colleague experience.

Interview for this position will be held on 25th February 2025.
Please note, this recruitment process will involve psychometrics and an assessment centre which will include Focus group exercise, presentation and interview.
Candidates will be asked to prepare a presentation which must be to recruitment by 12pm on 24th February 2025.
Ahead of presentation to the interview panel candidates will be asked to facilitate a focus group on the same topic.
As the Director of Human Resources for Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust you will be responsible for developing, leading and delivering the Trusts strategic approach to workforce and education ensuring close alignment to the NHS People Plan and People Promise to achieve our Trust vision to provide five star patient care.You will be a key member of the Executive leadership team, have the ability to build credibility, inspire confidence, and demonstrably influence staff at all levels from ward to Board. You will be a role model for our values and contribute to a patient centres culture of kindness, respect and inclusivity. You will be collaborative in approach with a focus on continuous improvement within the Trust and across the wider Cheshire and Mersey system. You will be an exceptional leader of people, with drive, vision, a strategic mindset, clarity of purpose, proven track record of HR/OD delivery, and high levels of integrity.
