Secondment opportunities will absolutely be considered for this post.
We also operate an on-call out of hours service for urgent enquiries only. An additional on-call allowance is payable for this.

The media relations executive will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of NICE's communications and organisational strategy.
Among other things you'll develop and implement media strategies and create content to support dedicated clinical, public health and social care topic areas as well as individual pieces of NICE guidance.
With a key focus on the Media you'll also be responsible for planning and managing communications to support the development, launch and ongoing use of NICE guidance, as well as preparing content, including copy, images, blogs, podcasts and video.
The main subject areas covered can be adapted for areas of expertise or interest.
You'll also take part in an out of hours on call rota one weekday evening a week once comfortable in the role.
About usTo be considered for this role, you should be able to particularly demonstrate the person specification criteria in the job advert in your application. However, applicants should be able to demonstrate all essential criteria through the entirety of the recruitment process to be considered for the job.
The postholder is expected, after an appropriate length of time to settle in, to take part in the on-call out of hours rota one night a week for which an additional allowance is paid. The night can be flexible to meet commitments but as we are a small team it is not something that can be waived. You will be supported by a senior team member while on call. Previous experience of being on a rota would be helpful.
The media team is London based. It is possible to work from the Manchester office but you will need to be comfortable working remotely from close team members. London team members attend the office two days a week (on a Tuesday and one other day). There will be occasional travel to the Manchester office for meetings and official business.
