The Activity Co-ordinator/Trainee role at Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Darlington focuses on planning and delivering therapeutic, social, and recreational activities for service users in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. The position requires flexibility in responding to the varying needs and interests of patients, and involves both individual and group activities, as well as community reintegration efforts. The successful candidate will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to promote patient independence, confidence, and mental well-being.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage patients through creative activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, and music. While the primary focus is on activity delivery, direct patient care and collaboration with nursing staff are also essential. Applicants may begin on Band 2 and will need to enroll in the Activity Co-ordinator Framework to obtain required qualifications. The role involves independent travel, and adjustments may be made in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
