The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse for its East Assertive Outreach Team. This multidisciplinary role focuses on providing person-centred care to adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions, particularly those who have historically avoided services. Ideal candidates will be Registered Mental Health Nurses with a degree and considerable community experience, working with complex needs. The service operates seven days a week, and flexible shift patterns are available.

In this position, the nurse will manage a caseload as a key worker, utilizing recovery-focused interventions and tools like Dialog plus for care planning. The role requires independent practice as well as collaboration with team members and other professionals to support service users and their families. Strong interpersonal and clinical skills, a comprehensive understanding of the Mental Health Act, and the ability to handle complex issues are essential. The team offers a supportive environment for professional development through training, supervision, and teamwork, with a requirement for travel across the Birmingham and Solihull area.
