The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a confident and personable Phlebotomist to join their dedicated team as part of a collaborative pathology network. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples from patients, which is essential for various medical investigations. The successful candidate will receive thorough training, requiring no prior experience, and must possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic keyboard proficiency.

The position is primarily based at County Hospital, focusing on ward-based tasks, with additional responsibilities at community clinics and the phlebotomy suite in the Outpatients Department. There may be occasional shifts at Royal Stoke Hospital. Two work patterns are available, offering flexible hours over a seven-day period, tailored to the needs of the service.

The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts are working collaboratively to form a Pathology network (NMCPS) in line with a NHSI directive.

We are looking for a confident and well-presented individual to join our phlebotomy team. The collection of quality blood samples from patients is a vital stage in many medical investigations. The successful applicant must enjoy working with people and possess good communication skills.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant - no previous experience is requiredWe offer a phlebotomy service in a range of locations across North Midlands including Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, ward based, community walk-in centres and community appointment based clinics. Attention to detail is important along with basic keyboard skills and applicants should enjoy the challenge of working in a fast pace patient environment.The successful applicant will be based at COUNTY HOSPITAL working primarily on the wards. You will also be required to work at community clinics and the phlebotomy suite within the Out Patients Department at County Hospital

There may be the occasional requirement to work at Royal Stoke Hospital

2 work patterns available as below

PATTERN 1

5 x 5 hr shifts variable over 7 days - mainly 7:30am starts = 25 hours per week

PATTERN 2

4 x 5 hr shifts 1 x 4 hr shift variable over 7 days - mainly 7:30am starts = 24 hours per week
