The role of Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, Band 7 - Neonates at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves leading a dedicated neonatal healthcare team to ensure high standards of care across various units, including ITU, HDU, Special Care, and Transitional cots. The ideal candidate will possess a specialty qualification in neonatal care, proven leadership and clinical skills, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative environment among multidisciplinary staff and families. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, participating in staff development, and promoting evidence-based practice while adhering to risk and governance standards.

This position requires an experienced nurse who demonstrates effective communication, organisation, and change management abilities, and is dedicated to enhancing both patient care and team performance. The role also emphasises the importance of continuing professional development for the staff, with the expectation that the post holder will actively support and encourage innovative practices in neonatal nursing.
