The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior SACT Nurse to join their Sussex Cancer Centre and Princess Royal Hospital Systematic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) Unit in Brighton & Hove. This role involves delivering high-quality, individualized nursing care to cancer patients undergoing SACT, leading clinical excellence, and providing support and specialist knowledge to patients and their families. The Senior Nurse will manage the clinical area, administer SACT and IV medications, and ensure patient safety, particularly during treatment administration, by managing acute reactions and potential complications.

Additionally, the Senior Nurse will serve as a mentor and supervisor for nursing staff, promoting a holistic approach to patient care that addresses physical, psychological, and social well-being. Strong communication skills are essential for conveying complex information about cancer treatments to patients and ensuring a collaborative environment within the multi-disciplinary team. The position encourages candidates with UK NMC registration to apply, and prospective employees are reminded to secure approval for secondment if currently employed by another NHS Trust.
