The Patient Services Lead at Wide Way Medical Centre in London is responsible for enhancing patient experience through effective management of the reception and administrative functions. This role involves overseeing the reception team, ensuring a welcoming environment, and improving patient access to services. The postholder will manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functionality, tackle patient inquiries and complaints, and implement systems for efficient appointment scheduling. Collaborating closely with the Practice Manager and other team leaders, they will also provide staff training, support, and development to create a motivated team that upholds high standards of customer service.

In addition to routine management tasks, the Patient Services Lead will assess and evolve front-of-house systems and processes, monitor appointment availability, and coordinate closely with the pharmacy team regarding prescription services. They will also engage with the Patient Participation Group and maintain adherence to policies and procedures related to patient registration, incident reporting, and complaints management. The role requires a caring and professional approach, promoting staff development and ensuring the reception team can effectively navigate challenges while delivering excellent patient care.
