We are in the process of establishing long-term capability to deliver the New Hospital Programme - the 3rd largest programme on the Government's Major Projects Portfolio enabling the delivery of NHS's Health Infrastructure Plan.

The Deputy Director of Supply Chain Intelligence & Management role will focus on assessing the markets for their Appetite, Capability, Capacity, Resilience and Accessibility to deliver NHP ambition by creating a diverse, collaborative, and visible supply chain to reflect the transition into delivery and inform resource planning

The post holder will drive the definition of current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues and the team as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.

As a Deputy Director of Supply Chain Intelligence & Management, the post holder will lead and work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers.

Key aspects of this role will be to: -

Ensure the strategy is formulated, understood by all stakeholders and is delivered utilising all available resources efficiently and effectively.

Ensure the development and management of relevant strategic plans, within the Sector.

Ensure appropriate system and processes are in place to enable the implementation of the strategy plans in the new organisations.

Proactively manage the key risks and issues associated and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate or respond.

Monitoring and establishing accountability on the overall progress of the strategy to ensure completion within agreed timescales.

Avoid the destabilisation of business as usual.
