Position: Call Handler Location: Integrated Contact Centres, Whalley Range, Manchester Salary: Band 3, starting at £24,071, rising to £25,674 after two years. Potential earnings around £30,000 per annum with shift enhancements for those working unsocial hours.

Role Summary: The Call Handler will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking urgent assistance, providing essential support in high-pressure situations. This role requires excellent communication skills, resilience, and the ability to gather critical information to deliver appropriate care advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of calls, including requests for medical advice and ambulance transport.
  • Remain calm and provide reassurance to callers, which may include distressed individuals.
  • Input data accurately using Office 365 and handle calls with a high level of professionalism.
  • Work effectively under pressure, adapting quickly to changing situations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service is desirable.
  • Proficient typing and data input skills are necessary.
  • Candidates must be over 18 due to the nature of the role and shift requirements.
  • Flexibility to cover a range of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Training and Progression: Successful candidates will undergo a 10-week full-time training program, with no leave permitted during this period. There is room for career progression within the organization.
