Key responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, delegating tasks appropriately, maintaining clinical credibility, participating in audits and research, and addressing risk management. The practitioner will also engage in individual and group supervision, contribute to patient satisfaction reporting, and support the mentoring of students. This role is critical in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the continuous improvement of practices within the ward. An enhanced DBS check is a requirement for this position.
An exciting opportunity has arisen on Morris ward to work as a Nurse practitioner. Morris ward is a 17 bedded all male acute ward within Clockview Hospital.
This is a demanding and challenging role where, as a successful candidate, you will be required to demonstrate high levels of resilience, excellent problem solving and inter-personal skills as well as the ability to provide sound clinical and leadershipsupport to team members.
The post holder will also demonstrate a passion for coaching leadership style, quality improvement and attitude which respects and values service users' choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.
This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred listDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
The main duty is to be working as a registered nurse practitioner on Morris ward
This will include working a variety of shift patterns including earlies, lates long days and night duties.
To promote and provide safe and good patient care to all service users and support their families
To be able to work within a team and autonomously when appropriate to ensure that service is delivered.
To work as part of a multi disciplinary team and liaise with all agencies to promote safe and up to date practice for service users.

Assess patient/client conditions and consider a range of options when delivering complex and highly complex clinical care.
Maintain clinical credibility by providing clinical care and supporting members of the team within the clinical environment
Ensure that clinical are appropriately delegated to the relevant team member.
Provide data that supports the monitoring of team contract and objectives.
Participate in audits and research, as required.
Participate in individual and group supervision.
In conjunction with the service management, ensure systems are in place for the ongoing review and assessment of care provision and delivery.
Work within guidelines to identify and manage risk, reporting identified risks to the service management
Report any incidents as per Trust policies and support any investigations as delegated by the service lead.
Participate in patient satisfaction reporting to improve patient care.
Provide support to team members holding responsibility for mentoring students.
