The Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 Child Wellbeing Practitioner for a training position in Halesowen. This role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, including weekly travel to Northampton University and potential for four days of in-person attendance some weeks. The intensive 12-month training aims to equip the trainee to deliver short-term interventions for children and young people struggling with emotional health and wellbeing in schools, colleges, and community settings.

Upon successful completion of the training, the practitioner will automatically advance to Band 5. The role involves collaborating with mental health professionals, conducting holistic assessments, and engaging with young people and families. Candidates must possess strong engagement skills, the ability to work under pressure, and maintain high standards of patient care. Relevant skills include screening referrals, undertaking risk assessments, and collaborating with school leads to ensure timely access to mental health support.
