The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and proactive Medical Secretary for the General Surgery & Urology department, with responsibilities spanning four days at Scarborough and one day at York Hospital. This role is ideal for individuals with administrative experience looking to advance into a senior secretarial position within a dynamic clinical setting. Key duties include providing comprehensive secretarial support to consultants, managing diaries, typing clinic and discharge letters, maintaining patient information, and ensuring compliance with treatment and cancer tracking targets. Proficiency in typing and familiarity with digital dictation are necessary, while knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial but not required.
