The Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Principal Clinical Psychologist to join their West Complex Needs Service on a part-time basis (18.75 hours per week) for a 9-month period. This role involves working primarily with adults experiencing personality-based difficulties and complex trauma, contributing to both the direct and indirect psychological care of these clients. The successful candidate will join a supportive senior leadership team and will be responsible for providing specialist assessments, interventions, supervision, consultation, and training. They will also play a key role in service development and collaboration with various stakeholders, such as primary care and the third sector.

Candidates should possess substantial experience and expertise in psychological practices related to complex trauma and personality disorders, with a preference for those trained in specific therapeutic modalities like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing. The recruitment process emphasises the Trust's values, and applicants are encouraged to reflect these values in their applications. The role includes contributing to a vision for the service and supporting the overall mental health care system.
