The Band 4 Patient Pathway Co-ordinator for Radiology at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is an internal role that requires a motivated and organized individual to support the Radiology department effectively. The coordinator will play a crucial role in managing patient pathways, ensuring diagnostic targets are met, and maintaining communication within the team as well as with patients. Key responsibilities include overseeing scheduling capacity, leading the Patient Pathway Support Team, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and collaborating with clinical leads and cancer services to ensure timely patient appointments.

The position demands strong IT skills, as the coordinator will act as a super user for the Radiology Information System and Electronic Patient Record, while also handling hospital systems and relevant software like Microsoft Office. The successful candidate should work well under pressure, communicate effectively at all levels, and manage various administrative tasks with precision, including data collection for audits and compliance with reporting requirements. Training will be provided to ensure familiarity with departmental protocols and systems.
