Access to a diverse and high-volume surgical pathology workload, with approximately 92,000 requests per annum, providing ample experience in various subspecialties.
Ability to develop and hone special skills and interests in specific areas of Cellular Pathology such as Lung, Hematopathology, Urology, Gynae, and Dermatopathology.
Involvement in a comprehensive Histopathology, Cytopathology, and Andrology service, allowing for a diverse range of case exposure and professional development.
Participation in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborations, fostering strong relationships with medical colleagues across various specialties.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training opportunities, including participation in audits, research, and continuing education programs.
Role in ensuring high standards of clinical governance and risk management, contributing to the safety and quality of patient care within the Trust.

We are actively seeking three passionate Cellular Pathology Consultants to enhance our service and make a tangible difference in patient care. If you hold a CCT or equivalent in Histopathology, and have a keen interest in areas such as Lung, Hematopathology, Urology, Gynae, or Dermatopathology, we want to hear from you. Our hub laboratory at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton is the heart of a thriving pathology service, processing around 92,000 surgical pathology requests each year.

In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, advancing our Histopathology, Cytopathology, and Andrology services.
