Providing clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinically focused, highly motivated independent prescribing pharmacist who wish to expand their experience by working on-site within a General Practice at Maryport, Cumbria.

Previous primary care experience is essential alongside experience with EMIS or System 1 (Training is provided). Desirable to have completed the CPPE pathway or already be on CPPE Pathway or willing to partake.

Roles and Responsibilties

  • Support attainment of IFF indicators/DES
  • Structured Medication reviews
  • Resolve medication-related issues
  • Helping to utilise skill mix
  • Improve patient outcomes
  • Ensure better access to healthcare
  • Support practice staff with prescription and medication queries
  • Medicines reconciliation
  • Provide expertise in clinical medicines advice
  • Providing clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement
