Depending on experience We do not use AfC but the pay is based on Level 3  PERMANENT 
Maintain, clean and check function of appropriate equipment used within the surgery.

Horizon Healthcare are looking for a Health Care Assistant who has an approachable manner and is able to work within our friendly team. You will be integral in maintaining the functioning of the practice and be able to work under pressure.

Up to 37.5 hours per week, part time considered. A minimum of one late shift (10:30 18:30) would be required.

Salary dependent on experience

SystmOne experience preferred

GP Practice experience preferred

Working under the direct supervision of the Practice Nurses and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the Health Care Assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. To be able to work at the main and branch surgery sites.

Wound care / Dressings / Management

Clip and suture removals

NHS health checks

Blood pressure checks

Venepuncture

Learning disability / Mental health reviews

ECGs

Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate

Lifestyle advice

Flu injections

CHD reviews

Fitting and removing of 24 hour BP monitor

Assisting minor surgery / coil fits / implants

Re-stocking of consulting rooms, storage cupboards, etc.

Stock taking

Stock ordering

Vaccine / cold chain storage monitoring and recording
