The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust is seeking a dedicated Perinatal Nursery Nurse to join their perinatal mental health team within the Parent and Baby day unit in Stoke-on-Trent. This role focuses on supporting mothers during the antenatal and postnatal periods who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges. The nursery nurse will provide high-quality care to both mothers and their babies, facilitating bonding and attachment through individual and group sessions, including baby massage and parenting education. They will collaborate with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, evidence-based care that addresses the mental health needs of mothers and promotes positive outcomes for their infants.

Key responsibilities include supporting the nursing team, assisting in the provision of a safe environment for babies, and enhancing mother-infant relationships. The nursery nurse will conduct community assessments, promote well-being, and engage in safeguarding practices while effectively communicating with other professionals involved in the families' care. The ideal candidate will possess compassion, innovation, and a passion for supporting the recovery journeys of mothers and their families during this critical time.
