The role of Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust involves providing essential administrative support within the Pain Management department. The part-time position (26 hours per week) requires the coordinator to manage the patient care pathway from referral through to discharge, ensuring effective communication and support for both patients and clinicians. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing referrals, scheduling appointments, coordinating diagnostics, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and waiting time targets to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.

Additionally, the coordinator will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to streamline operations, including managing appointments across different hospitals when necessary, handling clinic cancellations, and ensuring timely processing of medical documentation. This role emphasises a customer-focused approach, requiring a knowledgeable and accessible point of contact for patients navigating their care journey.
