The role of Senior Nurse for Mental Health / Learning Disabilities at HMP Berwyn involves working within an integrated Multidisciplinary Team to provide comprehensive mental health care to adult patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans. The successful candidate will supervise junior staff, serve as a role model within the Mental Health Team, and collaborate with various health and social care professionals to enhance patient outcomes and reduce re-offending pathways. This position calls for a skilled mental health practitioner with experience in managing complex needs, strong communication abilities, and effective time management.

This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the development of mental health services within a custodial environment, focusing on both primary and secondary care. Candidates will be supported in their professional growth, with opportunities for further education, such as pursuing an MSc in Health, Mental Health, and Wellbeing. Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not mandatory, and all applicants must be prepared for an in-person interview at HMP Berwyn.
