Macclesfield Primary Care Network is an innovative and friendly PCN that is looking for a Newly Qualified Salaried General Practitioner (ARRS funded) to enhance the team, and the quality of our patient care.
Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding we are looking for a newly qualified (within 2 yrs and not having had a substantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join us at Waters Green Medical Centre, integrated to work across one or two of our six G.P Practices. We are looking for somebody to work 6 sessions per week with a start date as soon as possible. This post is on a fixed term salaried contact until 31 March 2025.
The contract will be based on the BMA contract with 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays and (pro rata). One week study leave (pro rata).
As this contract is funded from 1st October 2024, we would like to interview as soon as possible Please note that should this vacancy attract sufficient interest it may be necessary to close the vacancy at an earlier date. Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes using EMIS Web.
Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualised patient care within the surgery or patients own home.
Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly referring patients to other services/agencies in a timely manner.
To recognise the need for and be able to perform and interpret investigatory procedures, including laboratory and radiology.
Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
Ensure appropriate follow up of patients.
Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.
Support the delivery of anticipatory care plans.
Independently prescribe for patients within your scope of practice, in accordance with locally agreed or national guidelines.
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
Review medications following the appropriate policies, NICE/local clinical guidelines and local care pathways.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines.
Be aware of your duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to our policies and procedures on Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults.
