The role of "Matron - Gastroenterology" at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in Margate seeks a motivated and experienced Senior Nurse to enhance the Gastroenterology Services. This position involves providing clinical support and leadership within the gastroenterology specialty nursing team, as well as offering matron support to the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to best practices in Infection Prevention and Control, managing incidents and complaints, and implementing high standards of nursing care across various facilities, including William Harvey Hospital and Canterbury Hospital.

Additionally, the Matron will lead and support the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Hepatology nursing specialists while maintaining a visible and approachable clinical presence for staff, patients, and families. This role emphasises the importance of collaboration, governance, and the delivery of exemplary clinical care in the gastroenterology department.
